MMH Graduate Medical Education
Manatee Memorial Hospital offers three graduate medical education programs encompassing the total healthcare for the individual and the individual's family. The Internal Medicine and Family Medicine programs are accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The Pharmacy PGY1 Residency Program is accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).
Manatee Memorial Hospital is an acute care hospital located in Bradenton, Florida on the Manatee River and offers diverse and challenging opportunities for patient care experiences. Manatee Memorial Hospital is one of three hospitals in Florida that is owned and operated by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS).
The residents enjoy an established GME working space, which includes a conference room, lounge space with a kitchenette, resident-only call rooms and computers and additional working space in a private section of the hospital. The GME teaching faculty uses patient-based teaching, audience response systems in didactic conferences and online teaching modules to assist in the learning process. The lack of state income tax in Florida and the rapid growth of Manatee County creates excellent opportunities for new practitioners.
