Coming Soon – ER at Sun City Center
On Monday, October 25, 2021, Manatee Memorial Hospital hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the construction of a new freestanding emergency room – the ER at Sun City Center. The new location will expand access to emergency care in Hillsborough County. Located at 16504 S. U.S. 301, Wimauma, FL 33598, adjacent to Walmart, the new ER at Sun City Center will provide emergency care 24-hours a day, seven days a week. The new facility is expected to open in the second quarter of 2022.

Providing remarks on behalf of the hospital were Tom McDougal, Chief Executive Officer, Manatee Memorial Hospital; and Kevin DiLallo, Universal Health Services, Inc., Group Vice President-Florida Region. Also speaking were Lynne Conlan, Executive Director, South Hillsborough Chamber of Commerce; Bob Sullivan, President, Sun City Center Community Association; and Stacy White, Hillsborough County Commissioner, District 4.
