Manatee Memorial Hospital Opens New Emergency Care Center

Kevin DiLallo, Chief Executive Officer, and the Board of Governors of Manatee Memorial Hospital officially opened the new Emergency Care Center today with a Grand Opening Reception and Ribbon Cutting. The new Emergency Care Center will help accommodate the county’s growing population. The center is just under 33,000 square feet, making it the largest and newest Emergency Care Center in the county. The center will utilize a “fast-track” and “super-track” system based on patients’ individual needs. The space has 48 patient rooms divided into two different sections, one for lower acuity patients, with less critical conditions, and the other for patients who need more intensive medical treatment.

Some of the key features include a spacious and welcoming waiting room; color-coded pods to help people find their way around more easily; geriatric-friendly accommodations; Smart TVs in patient rooms; specially designed behavioral health suites to support essential care and a dedicated Emergency Medical Services covered drive access with three staging and support areas for emergency vehicles.
