Manatee Memorial First in the City of Bradenton to Offer Coulomb Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Bradenton, Florida — Manatee Memorial Hospital now offers free, accessible charging stations for electric vehicles in the hospital's parking garage. The Manatee Chamber of Commerce held the official ribbon cutting on Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Electric vehicles were on-site to demonstrate the charging process.

The two charging stations are conveniently located on the ground floor of the parking garage in the SW corner, near the parking garage elevator. The units are covered from the weather and the public can use the stations 24 hours a day, seven days per week. To access this free service, you simply call a 1-800 number located on the equipment, use a ChargePass card from the ChargePoint Network, or use an RFID credit card for identification.

Manatee Memorial Hospital is listed as an available charging station location on the ChargePoint website, mychargepoint.net. For information on Coulomb's ChargePoint network you can call 1-888-758-4389.

The hospital received the Department of Energy -provided equipment through Ken Stokes at EcoTechnologies Inc., an authorized Coulomb/NovaChange partner, and the leading local energy integrator. Doyle Electric also partnered with the hospital, handling the installation of the units.
