Physical Therapy, Occupational and Speech Therapy
Occupational, physical and/or speech therapy may be needed to help in your recovery and improve your quality of life. Specially trained therapists can help you participate more fully in daily activities like talking, walking and working at a job. Ask your physician for a prescription for therapy if you are suffering from any of the following conditions:

Licensed speech pathologists can help patients with problems including swallowing, speech or language. Therapists work with you and your family to help you regain your ability to speak and/or swallow after stroke, throat surgery, or other conditions which affect speech and language. Speech therapy can help patients with:

- Language and voice disorders
What to Expect
You will receive a therapy plan tailored especially to your needs that may include heat therapy, electrical stimulation, exercise and manual physical therapy. Family members will be included in your therapy and taught to help.
Physical therapists can help reduce pain, weakness and stiffness, while building strength and endurance with heat, electrical stimulation, exercise and manual techniques.
Licensed speech pathologists can help with swallowing, speech or language problems. Compassionate therapists will work with you and family members to help regain your ability to speak or swallow after stroke, throat surgery or other conditions that affect speech and language.
Licensed therapists teach patients how to care for themselves and return to productive living following surgery, injury or other conditions.
A certified hand therapists can assist you in regaining the use of your arm, shoulder or hand. You may receive before-and-after surgical care, as well as help with pain management and splinting. Hand and finger tendon reconstruction surgeries and cumulative trauma suffered as a result of repetitive work are just a few areas of our hand therapists' expertise.
Regain the use of your shoulder, arm or hand with the help of a certified hand therapist. You will learn about before and after surgical care, pain management techniques, orthotics, modalities, manual techniques, exercise and other methods that can help. Cumulative trauma disorder is just one of our areas of expertise.
Many children can benefit from therapy, too. Whether your child has developmental delays or disabilities or has suffered a traumatic illness or injury, therapists can help with recovery of function with compassionate to family-centered care.
Wound Care and Scar Management
Specially trained therapists will help to clean and dress your wound to prompt healing, and train you in exercises to maintain your mobility and strength. Once your wound is healed, special garments and techniques may be recommended to minimize scarring and prevent loss of mobility.
Sports Physical Therapy
This therapy is for individuals involved in organized athletics or leisure activities who have experienced traumatic or cumulative trauma injuries. The goal is to return the athlete to active participation as quickly and successfully as possible. From high school football players to golfers and weekend warriors, we can help all kinds of athletes feel and perform their best.
