Richard Fletcher Appointed Chief Operating Officer at Manatee Memorial Hospital

November 6, 2009 — Richard S. Fletcher, PharmD has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Manatee Memorial Hospital, announced Moody Chisholm, Vice President of Acute Care, Universal Health Services, Inc., and CEO, Manatee Healthcare System.

Prior to being appointed COO, Richard served as Associate Administrator at Manatee Memorial and was previously Director of Pharmacy for Manatee Healthcare System. Before joining Manatee Memorial/Universal Health Services, Inc., Fletcher was Director of Pharmacy at Doctor's Hospital of Sarasota and Charlotte Regional Medical Center.

Fletcher is a fourth generation resident of the community. He graduated from Manatee High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Florida and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Florida. He and his wife, Karen, have three children.
