The Manatee Heart and Vascular Center at Manatee Memorial Hospital provides patients with an individualized approach to heart care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.

Cardiologists coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team, including surgery and emergency departments, to help put patients on the road to recovery.

The Manatee Heart and Vascular Center, located on the ground floor of Manatee Memorial Hospital, includes:

The Emergency Department's Role

The faster a heart attack patient receives artery-clearing intervention, the better the chance of survival and recovery. Manatee Memorial Hospital coordinates with Manatee County EMS to speed assessment and intervention.

Emergency department (ED) staff are alerted by radio and ready to act quickly when the patient arrives. The patient is transferred to the Cath Lab, where blood flow is restored to the heart muscle.
